What They Were Looking For
When I first met with Darcey and Mark at their home here in Las Vegas (Summerlin area) , the goal wasn’t complicated…
They wanted a yard that felt nicer…
More inviting.
More usable.
Less maintenance.
And something that actually made them want to walk outside and enjoy it with the family.
Like a lot of homes here in Las Vegas, the yard had the basics — pool, space, rock — but it just didn’t feel finished. Or, it’s tired and needs a refresh…. like my coffee after a long Monday.
The Game Plan for This Las Vegas Backyard
We focused on what actually works here in the desert:
Low maintenance landscaping
Clean, modern layout
Materials & plants that hold up in Las Vegas heat
And creating real, usable spaces based on our customer’s wants
From there, our design team (Tom and Branden) took the notes, measurements, and photos I gathered and built out a plan that fit exactly what they were trying to accomplish.
What We Installed
Here’s what went into this Las Vegas landscape installation:
Artificial turf designed for durability in extreme heat and safe for pets
Concrete stepping pads (paver pathway) to create flow and structure through the yard
Spray deck around the pool (huge difference in the summer heat)
Freshly painted walls to brighten and clean up the entire space
Cypress trees for privacy and to soften the block walls
River rock in planter areas for a clean, low maintenance finish
A dedicated fire pit area for relaxing and hanging out
Nothing over complicated.
Just a well thought out landscape design in Las Vegas that fits how they actually wanted to use their yard.
